Flourish Cafes allow people to get together to talk about what's going in the lives of
children and families and how we can all build happier and more meaningful lives.
THE TEN BASICS
children and families and how we can all build happier and more meaningful lives.
THE TEN BASICS
- Find a local cafe that would like to be involved and set up a regular monthly get-together time.
- Using the monthly resources that we will send you decide in advance what films you would like to show or articles you would like to share.
- Make sure you have a flipboard and market pens placed somewhere that everyone can see.
- Place stick-it notes and plenty of spare paper on each table for people to make notes on.
- Ask everyone give a quick two minutes intro about themselves and why they are there.
- Allow between half an hour and an hour to show films and hand-our articles - then encourage participants to chat between themselves, write, doodle and draw key ideas on their paper and stick-it pads.
- Ask each table to nominate a spokesperson and initiate a period of sharing discoveries & insights in a whole group conversation.
- Have someone write down all the thoughts/findings on the flip-pad.
- Agree the most important ones and take photos.
- Share them on the Flourish Cafe website for others to see and comment on.
