Billions of humans have been born into the world, but every single one of us is also unique (and that's pretty amazing). Each of us has a different family background, different life experiences, different skills and abilities, different things that we are interested in and that make our hearts sing and different dreams about what we want to be and do. But we also only get to understand ourselves and make sense of the world through our interactions and relationship with others.
Genes are important, but they are massively impacted by our early experiences as young children and we now know that possible inherited negative pre-dispositions can be avoided if we experience loving relationships and positive early learning environments. To flourish we need to be supported in becoming the best version of our selves. And to know that our own interests and gifts really matter.
